Well, the week wasn’t as reading focused as I would have liked but I did finish Carrie and The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer.

I loved Carrie, even knowing what happens, I still liked reading it.  It’s so different than anything I’ve read that I’m rethinking my stance on not liking adult books.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer wasn’t as good as I was hoping, the ending was a bit much for me, but that happens a lot.  I can’t expect books to go exactly as I think they should… plus what’s the fun in that?

I am so close to done with Sabriel, SO close.  I don’t know why I haven’t just sprinted the last 40 pages, but I haven’t.  I love everything about this book and I don’t know why it took me so long to get into it.  Maybe the audiobook helped, since it’s read by Tim Curry.  And seriously, what could be better than a book read by Tim Curry?  Well, a book read by Neil Gaiman… but yeah.  They are so close in awesome it doesn’t matter.

I can’t wait to get started on the rest of Garth Nix’s stuff because he’s my new favorite.  Favorite.
